What this site is

Fishing Charters Gulf Shores is an independent guide to fishing out of Gulf Shores, Alabama. It exists to explain how charter fishing here works so you can choose a trip and ask an operator the right questions before you pay for one.

What this site is not

• Not a charter operator. It owns no vessel, employs no captain or mate, and runs no trips.
• Not a booking agent or broker. It takes no reservations, holds no deposits, processes no payments, and issues no refunds.
• Not an agent of any operator. Listing a business is not a partnership, a recommendation, or a vetting. Operators do not pay to appear, and no operator has approved anything written here.
• Not a source of legal, safety or regulatory advice. Licensing, seasons and limits are set by Alabama and federal authorities, and their word is the only one that counts.

Accuracy, and how it decays

Everything here is written to be accurate when published and dated so you can see how old it is. It will still go out of date. Seasons open and close on short notice, bag and size limits are revised, licence rules change, boats are sold, and businesses close. Nothing on this site updates itself.

So the rule worth carrying away is simple: for anything that has a legal or financial consequence, check the current position at source before you rely on it. That means the operator for anything about a trip, and the relevant authority for anything about regulations — Outdoor Alabama — Saltwater Recreational Licenses and the licence page here are the starting points.

Where a fact could not be verified, this site leaves a visible gap rather than filling it with something plausible. That is deliberate, and the about page explains why.

Fishing is a physical activity with real risk

Going offshore in a small boat involves risk that no website can remove: weather, sea state, seasickness, sun exposure, sharp hooks, heavy tackle and moving decks. The general guidance on pages like what to bring is exactly that — general. The captain and crew on your boat are the safety authority for your trip, and their instructions override anything written here.

Links to other sites

Outbound links go to charter operators, booking platforms and official resources because they are the primary source, not because this site vouches for them. It has no control over their content, availability, pricing, terms or conduct, and no responsibility for them.

Money

This site currently earns nothing — not from the charters it describes, and not from the gear it lists. It runs no advertising, takes no payment for listings or placement, and has no affiliate relationship with any operator, booking platform, manufacturer or retailer. Every product listing on the site is a placeholder that links nowhere. Nobody has paid to be included, excluded, or described a particular way.

If an affiliate relationship is ever entered into, the disclosure above changes at the same moment the first working link appears, and a disclosure also appears beside every product on every page that shows one. Neither is optional and neither is set by hand: both are driven by whether the underlying product data actually contains a live affiliate link.

The writing, structure and original photography here belong to Fishing Charters Gulf Shores. Quoting a passage with a link back is fine and welcome. Republishing pages wholesale is not. Photographs supplied by third parties are used with permission and are not covered by that — they are credited where required and are not yours to reuse.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, say so — info@fishingchartersgulfshores.com or the contact page. Corrections from people who fish or work these waters are the most valuable mail this site gets.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change, and the date at the top of the page shows when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies.

One thing deliberately absent

There is no governing-law or jurisdiction clause here, because stating one would mean naming a legal entity and a place of business that have not been established. Rather than invent them to make the page look complete, this section says so.

Who operates this site, and under which law

Fishing Charters Gulf Shores is operated by Launch with Bryan LLC. These terms, and any dispute arising from your use of this site, are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

That will look like a mismatch, so it is worth stating plainly: the company that publishes this guide is registered in New Jersey, and the fishery it writes about is in Alabama. The two are unrelated, and neither implies the other. Nothing on this site is operated from, or licensed in, Alabama — which is the same point made on the about page about the author not being a Gulf Shores captain.
